Extruded bricks are called as wire-cut, these are created mechanically by forcing a column of clay through a series of wires to cut the shapes. The standard brick is about 76mm high and 230 x 110mm. These types of bricks are preferred for any construction project and for those where budget presents a concern. The presence of holes (cores) helps in having good bond and interlocking between the bricks, also reduces the amount of clay required thus making them cheaper and lighter. The number or holes in each brick and their respective sizes vary based on the specification required.
3. Traditional Bricks
Traditional bricks are one which has not been standardized in size. The normal size which is adapted is 23 cm x 11.4 cm x 7.6 cm (9”x4 ½ “x3”). These create a stunning look to the wall using eco-friendly brick tiles.
